Jamaica's beautiful, unspoiled south coast is the perfect destination for the sophisticated traveler wanting all the benefits of a luxurious villa vacation, but in a decidedly non-touristy setting. Here there are no crafts markets, duty free shops or fleets of tour buses; just the gentle, quiet pace of small country towns where the locals encourage guests to explore their community and share experiences.

Natural beauty abounds in the area. Some must-see sights are the spectacular YS Falls, the picturesque historic town of Black River with its eco-tourism Black River (longest river in Jamaica with fantastic wetlands, crocodiles and exotic birds), cool, serene Bamboo Alley, the dizzying heights of Lovers' Leap and Appleton Rum plantation.

Enjoy exploring the offshore reefs, or try your hand at fishing the waters in the Whitehouse area. Whitehouse is one of the most productive fishing villages in Jamaica, so even if you do not catch your own, plenty of fish is usually available daily from the local fishermen.

Our south coast villas are easily accessible from the Montego Bay airport via a scenic, smoothly paved road over the mountains.

• YS Falls - these spectacular falls are even more beautiful than the more famous Dunn's River Falls.
• The Town of Black River - situated on the mouth of the Black River, Jamaica's largest navigable river, is one of the most picturesque towns in Jamaica. Experience the beauty of the river and wild life by boat on a Riverboat Safari ride.
• Appleton Estate Tour - visit one of the oldest and most famous of the world's rum-making estates. This estate has dates back to the fifteenth century, and the Spanish rule of Jamaica. See the process of making rum and sample some of the fine estate rums.
• Black River Safari - Discover the beauty of the South Coast with a 90 minute boat tour by motor launch up Jamaica's largest navigable river and through what is Jamaica's largest wetland area, the Black River lower morass. The basic tour takes you six miles up the river and return, during which a running commentary is given by your captain/ tour guide on both the ecology and a little history of the area. Over 100 species of birds have been recorded in the Black River morass and many are seen during your trip.

• As our Bluefields Bay villas are all-inclusive, it is extremely unlikely that you will need to go grocery shopping during your stay.
  
  If you find that you need to find a grocery store, there are ones in the nearby towns of:

• Sav-la-mar

Shopping:

• For shopping your best bet are the stores in Negril, about an hour away.
