Dear Reg, We made our reservations via the Internet, and let's be honest, you never quite know what you're getting into when you go this route. The property looked very nice, and all sounded good in our exchanges with you. However, when we landed in Montego Bay, it was not without a little bit of trepidations about what, precisely, our experience might turn out to be. The answer was: Fantastic! The driver was there when we arrived, and he was friendly and instilled a peace of mind with his driving. (During the week, he also showed a lot of of interest in sharing information about Jamaica, its plants and animals, and its people. That was a nice plus.) When we arrived at the house, we were so impressed with how it was maintained... and the setting? Wonderful. We remained slightly nervous, however, because let's just say that we're not used to having "staff." What could have been awkward ended up being the highlight of our trip. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful, but not intrusive in any way. The house was kept beautifully, and the food was excellent. What a treat not to have to cook (even though I like to cook). Usually, we try to offer some ideas for how to improve on our experience, but we can't really think of anything. Coming back home to Minnesota (and snow... and -5 degrees Celsius temperatures) was difficult, but as much as the weather, we actually missed the staff. Hi Reg: I can only say that our stay at Avalon was "divine and delicious". It was truly the perfect place for us - nice and quiet without the hotel crowd and the view was spectacular. The staff was a whole other experience. They were simply OUTSTANDING. We could not have asked for more attention or more service. Mr Hart, Duane and Cordell made sure we were comfortable at all times and the food along with the presentation was great. It is a no-brainer that Avalon will be my recommendation to my friends.

Reg, We had a great time at Avalon - the villa lived up to all expectations and the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them - even coping with a vegetarian which was clearly outside the norm! Ivorene did a great job cooking and Dwayne was very helpful, particularly arranging additional transport when we needed it. Frederique and Mr Levy were also great. We were delighted to meet Mr Richards and he very kindly lent us a cell phone for the duration of our stay. It was a real bonus. Daniel was an excellent driver and guide so our thanks go to him too. Our only suggestion would be that it would be good if the steps down to the sea could be fixed - although it would have been too rough to swim during our stay - perhaps thats always the case? Last but not least - many thanks to you for making all the arrangements at such short notice. I know what a pain it is as we run our own self catering accommodation in the UK (www.oldrectorycoachhouse.co.uk)! We really appreciated your efforts - thank you. HI. Just returned from our trip last night and it was a great one. The villa was lovely; well maintained, clean and as described. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. The staff was exceptional. All meals were terrific and the staff was incredibly helpful and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Their service was exceptional but kindness and friendliness was boundless. That made for an incredible experience for our whole party. Beth

Hi Alan. Just wanted you to know how perfect everything was with our Jamaica vacation. We would not change one thing about our Villa, Avalon. The enjoyment began as soon as we dove down the driveway. The view through the front door is amazing. All I can say is that the pictures don't do it justice!! But as great as the villa is, the staff is even better. Lynette and Dwayne were incredible. We got to know them like family-we actually met their families and had them go on a sunset cruise with us. We enjoyed meeting the owner of the Villa as well.  Please always highly suggest that a group rent a van with a driver. Denton was an incredible help. He got whole lobsters and fresh fish for us on two nights. I don't know how we could have managed without his knowledge and help.  Thanks for your help in planning what everyone called a trip of a lifetime. I hope that we can experience it again soon.
