Dear Reg We are counting the days until we can return to Jasmin Hill! We had a great time. Joyce was kind enough to share her amazing Curry Chicken recipe with me so just today I returned the favor and mailed her one of my tried and true recipes. We has so many wonderful local foods! One of our favorite things about the house was the fact that you could do absolutely nothing or choose from a dozen fun activities. The pace was always ours to set. We parasailed, rode horses in the ocean, jet skied, and snorkeled. Some mornings we just lazed around with books. I loved shopping with Joyce, and Daphne's smile was simply infectious. Then there is Lyndel! We just loved him. His stories and music were terrific. We will be thinking of him in April when he will be the father of the bride! The accomodations were very comfortable. The bathrooms were gracious and the balconies really brought the ocean in. The air conditioning helped us sleep restfully. Even though it was not hot for Jamaica, it was quite warm for us New Englanders. My sister and I are interested in renting the villa for the week after Christmas, so if you know what the avaibility is we'd love to hear from you. Getting ready for a sleet storm in the A.m. Hi Alan, We all had an amazing time. The food was wonderful, as was the service! You have an exceptional employee in Lyndell! He made sure we were very happy at all times! He also gave us some history of the area and took us to a few places we never knew existed on the island. We got some beautiful pictures from the hills! Our only regret was that we had to leave! The house was very nice - but, you were right, not as 'elegant' as Roaring Pavillions - but in it's own ways had just as much charm. Everyone was talking about a repeat trip - and a lot of that had to do with Lyndell! Thank you so much - we ALL needed that week off!! Pat

Reg, Not only did Jasmin Hill live up to our expectations, it far exceeded. By far the best vacation we have ever had. Our same group would like to reserve Jasmin Hill in 2008! Along with Lyndel and his van. Also, We have several other couples that want to join us next year. I can't remember the name of the villa that is a couple of houses up and has the water slide into the ocean. Please let me know the name of that villa and if it is available for the same week. Reg and Alan, It’s been little over two weeks since we have returned home and I’m still caught up in the rapture. I have attempted to write this Thank You note a couple of times and I kept getting lost for words to adequately describe the breath taking beauty of the seaside views from just about anywhere on this property. It was truly mesmerizing and extremely relaxing. Even with our four children and grandchild in tow, my husband and I were able to find delightful little areas to escape to for romantic quiet time alone. Lyndel, the villa manager is wonderful. He was very patient and solicitive to whatever we wanted to do. No easy task for a family ranging in ages 7 to 49. I particularly enjoyed and appreciated how he shared personal stories and meaningful historical events in Jamaica. Joyce, the cook was a sweetheart. We all really loved her soft spoken way and the jerk chicken and key lime pie was amazing. Daphne, the housekeeper was always courteous and professional. The gardens were stunning and lavish. It was unbelievable to see Neil, the gardener trim the bush es into perfect “Hershey Kisses” with a machete. I’m thoroughly convinced that villa rental is the way to go, especially for top notch family travel. All the little details are taken care of for you and there is nothing to do but relax. Reg and Alan, thanks again for being so attentive to every detail and for all the useful information. I’m already planning our next trip. Reg-We had THE most amazing time at Jasmin Hill! The house could not have been more perfect and conducive to our ideal vacation. I can’t say enough great things about the staff: Daphne was wonderful! She served us every meal, did turndown service and turned the bedroom AC on every night, kept the house extremely clean and was so friendly. Freda cooked four star foods and was so accommodating to our various diet restrictions. One night she went so far as to prepare shrimp, fish and jerk chicken. We ate a 3-course dinner every night on the veranda as the sunset with candles, great wine and cuisine I’m still dreaming off. You can not get this level of service and care at any restaurant or resort. We all loved Mr. Henry and Lyndel went above and beyond the call of duty. He made 4 trips to and from Mo Bay, took us to a jerk center, shopping everyday, to the Falls, made dinner reservations one night, talked to us about local culture and was really just a pleasure to be around. Finally we want to thank you and Alan!! Your flexibility and accessibility, especially during travel woes, was so welcoming. Many people who were stranded at the airport told us their resorts were not going to compensate them or let them make any changes to their reservations. We will recommend you to friends and family and hope to go back to Jasmin Hill next year. All the best,  Stuart

Alan & Reg: My family's vacation experience at Jasmin Hill was way beyond our expectations. The welcome we received was amazing. The villa staff met us at the front door with open arms and, immediately, we felt like it was home. Lyndel was like part of our family. He played the piano for us after dinner, he became our tour guide, our consultant, and friend. Frieda spoiled us with her cooking….the meals were fabulous. We are still talking about her chocolate soufflé. Daphne was so sweet and helpful to us. Henry was better than any security system we have ever experienced. Peggy and Neil's assistance was valuable to us as well. I would like to extend my sincere thanks for all of the assistance you provided to my family and I in making this vacation the best ever. My father is 72 years old and said this was the most relaxing vacation of his life. The villa life is definitely the way to go! We are ready to re-book for 2006. Is Jasmin Hill available for March 5 - 12 of 2006? Thanks again, Ronda

Reg & Alan, just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much we enjoyed our return trip to Jasmin Hill. The improvements to the Villa (new art work, TV, furniture) are much appreciated. The air-conditioner in the master bedroom makes a huge difference. Coming from central air I don't think I would have made the return trip to Jasmin Hill without the additional air-conditioner. We also enjoyed using the Kayaks. An early morning Kayak trip became part of our daily routine. I hope I get a chance to see the villa when the addition is complete. Freda did her usual superb job with preparing the meals, Lyndel & Neal have the grounds in tip top shape and Henry is truly a joy to talk to in the evenings. Freda, Lyndel and Henry are a large part of what makes a stay at Jasmin Hill so memorable. If you ever want or need an additional business partner at SunVillas be sure to call me. Jasmin Hill was all that we had anticipated it being and more.  The house, grounds & staff were absolutely fabulous.  We typically spend our yearly vacations on the go but this year we decided to spend it relaxing and our decision to stay at Jasmin Hill proved to be right on target.  Lyndel, our driver, is a dream.  He is so easy going and knowledgeable about every aspect of not only the history of Jasmin Hill, but on Jamaica as a whole.  Frieda and Daphne were so kind to us and their expertise in hospitality got an A+ from us.  Henry & Neal were wonderful as well.  As far as the staff, we would like to suggest to future guests that if they prefer to eat at a particular time they will need to let Frieda & Daphne know this ahead of time.  If our voyages should ever take us back to Jamaica – we will DEFINITELY be staying at a SunVilla rental without a doubt.  Thanks again for such a memorable vacation. Alan & Reg,  Our stay at Jasmin Hill villa was just fabulous. The villa, staff, food and everything in the villa was just above and beyond my expectations. Best food in Jamaica was at our villa for sure. Freda is just a phenomenal cook. Not only she cooks great, she alters the menu to your liking. Her food had a very personal touch to it. We were very happy with her. Lyndel was of great help. We felt we had a personal tour guide/planner with us. He planned events for us whenever he could, even when we were not taking a ride with him. Very helpful and always looking after us as to what could be fun for us. The villa itself was just phenomenal.  Lovely view, very clean, very well kept. Can't say enough good things about it. It also was beyond our expectations. I travel quiet a bit for my job and I stay at some nice hotels. I have to say the villa's service was up there with the 5 star resorts if not better. Thanks for everything. We will be back for sure and am going to be referring plenty of people your way.  Sunny

Reg,  Once again Jasmin Hill was just fabulous!  The staff is so nice and they do such a great job.  Our food was awesome.  I feel like I have a home away from home.  I also can't say enough about Lyndel...  he is so valuable as a resource on what to do (and sometimes what not to do).. where to go, where to get the best exchange rate, where to get the best jerk.  What a great guy!  I consider him a good friend and look forward to visiting the villa again.  Thanks again for your help and great service.  You and Alan are both so easy to work with and it is a pleasure to refer my friends to do business with you.  Until next time.  Ian

Alan & Reg,  we had a wonderful time at Jasmin Hill.  This was our second visit to the villa. Only way to describe it is great. From the location to the attentive staff everything was perfect. Lyndel, what a great guy! Way more than just a driver we all feel a friendship with him. We did a lot of sightseeing, and his knowledge, personality and driving skill make being with him a real pleasure. Freda, her meals were impeccable. Everything is well prepared, and the variety seems endless. Our son especially enjoys playing with Freda's son Lance. Mr. Henry, what a down home guy. Sitting out by the pool after dinner talking with him and Lyndel, what a way to get a real feeling of Jamaica. John and Lyndel have made the grounds of Jasmine Hill into a garden paradise. Daphne ensures that the villa is spotless (and it is) and her attention to service was terrific. How does Enid get the clothes so clean?  What else is there to say except we are looking forward to Jasmine Hill in April. Ken, Donna & Kenny.

Reg & Alan,  We had an incredible week at Jasmin Hill.  This was our 4th time in Jamaica - our 3rd in one of your villas - and the best time we've ever had thanks to the wonderful staff at Jasmin Hill.  The house was lovely and had so much charm and character.  The gardens were amazing -Lyndel gave us a tour one afternoon and it's obvious that he is very dedicated and loves gardening.  The pool, the fountains, the ocean access and the snorkeling were all amazing.  The ladies - Freda, Gloria, and Sandra - were so sweet and took such good care of us.  The food was yummy and the deserts were fabulous.  Freda's son Lionel is a sweetheart. I must say that Jasmin has to be the cleanest house I've ever been in - including my own & I'm pretty OC about it.  And I don't mean to imply that other villas we stayed in were not perfectly clean - because they were - but this house was spotless in every crook, cranny, closet, shelf and cabinet.  Maybe dust doesn't exist in Jamaica?  Lyndel is a dream come true !!  In addition to a master gardener, he was a great tour guide and took us to some beautiful out-of-the-way spots that we had never visited.  A couple of afternoons we wanted to just drive around a little while before dinner & he would take us to such pretty areas.  It was nice to have a driver that took care of us rather than just being "hired" to take you from point A to point B.  We had many long conversations with him and learned a lot about daily life and politics in Jamaica.  He is such a good person at heart - we feel as though we've made a very good friend.  I can't think of enough adjectives to describe how good he was to us.  Henry is also a wonderful man.  A couple of nights after dinner we asked Henry & Lyndel to sit and talk with us for a while.  It was interesting conversation and a lot of fun. Everyone was very attentive but at the same time gave us complete privacy.  This was the first time we've been to Jamaica without another couple or the kids and it was very romantic and completely relaxing.  Returning home to NC was quite an adjustment but we are still feeling relaxed from our week at Jasmin.  It really is impossible to put into words how special each person was and how well they treated us.  We felt comfortable & welcomed the whole week.  We look forward to returning in 2003. Hi Alan, Just wanted to let you know that it was a wonderful time again at Jasmin Hill. I am already planning to go back again. The gals that went with me could not believe how wonderful things were. I think Lyndel's van is great! I snorkeled for the first time in my life down there and it is so beautiful, we have some beautiful pictures from the reefs. Well just wanted to drop you a line and tell you what a great time I had and let you know I will be contacting you again for reservations. Kathy

Hi Alan Jasmin Hill was everything we had hoped it would be and more. There are very few words that would describe this place and the time we spent there. Jasmin Hill was like taking a step back in time. The whole place made us feel we were living back 40 or 50 years ago. The furnishings, artwork and books are so well maintained (by all the staff) that it gives the place a real elegance. The grounds are a work of art and it is easy to see all the hard word work that Lyndel has put into it.  Our time was made up of many hours of meditation and relaxation. It allowed us to take the time to think about our lives and reflect on the past and what could be the future. We journeyed out into the countryside with Lyndel as our guide and got to see the real Jamaica. The countryside is so beautiful and the vistas are breathtaking. I am sure the pictures we took will bring us back to the island. In between our active times were the meals. Freda and Gloria were marvelous and their creativity was amazing. We basically gave the a basic idea of our likes and dislikes and from there they created meals that were delicious. I just want to thank you again for all your help with this property and I am sure we will talking again. Your good friends,  Roy and Patricia

Hi Alan,  Once again, we had a wonderful time at Jasmin Hill. Freida is amazing! Her  meals are out of this world. Gloria and Loma were wonderful, too. We are planning to return again, next year, after Easter.  Snorkeling was great! We actually swam with an eagle ray! Jim was so thrilled....in 13 years of diving, he has never seen one. We were snorkeling close to the house one afternoon and there one was...pretty neat!  We couldn't have had nicer weather. It only rained one morning the entire week! I will be in touch! Janet  

Alan, Words cannot express the way my family and I feel, during our stay at Jasmin Hill.   Jasmin Hill is magnificent and beyond belief! The staff; Frieda, Loma, Gloria and Lyndel showed us much hospitality Jamaican style. We did not want to leave. My boyfriend and I left our coats and had to return for them, which goes to show you how much we regret leaving, we had to leave something behind so that could return once more. With Jasmin Hill being that magnificent, I am sure that your other choices will leave us breathless. For our next trip to Jamaica, my family and I would like to be a part of that paradise. Dear Alan: I just want to thank you for steering us to such a wonderful place as Jasmin Hill. The villa was even more than I expected it to be, and the staff was absolutely wonderful from breakfast to dinner the food was wonderful. And Lyndel was very helpful and friendly. Even Paul the security guard was great. This was the vacation that I had dreamed of for a year and my dreams sure did come true with your help Thanks again and I'm looking forward to my next stay at Jasmin Hill. P.S. I just want you to know that Jasmin Hill is perfect for an amputee, with such easy access to the ocean it was wonderful for my husband, he enjoyed himself more than any other place we have ever stayed at.  Thanks again Millie  

Hello Alan;  Just wanted to thank you for directing us to Jasmin Hill, what a gorgeous property! We had our best vacation ever. The ambiance is incredible. The staff was terrific. Gloria took care of every detail. Barbara kept the villa in top shape and Frieda prepared the most wonderful meals. We used Lyndel's cab service for the week, he was terrific, we would not have had half as good of time without his direction and knowledge of the area. Lyndel is the best way to get around. Sandals was nice but you have to share it with 200 other people. Villa vacations are the only way to go! Thanks again for introducing us to such a remarkable experience.
