Lime
Acre Guest Comments:
Dear Reg, Alan & Latoya, How can we begin to thank you for helping us make a fantastic vacation happen. It began with your promptly answering our many questions prior to our visit, and arranging a smooth transition for everyone from Montego Bay to Lime Acre. Once we were met by our driver Geno we only had to sit back and relax. The arrival at Lime Acre was dramatic with Rocky passing our cold damp washcloths and Ginger fruit punch, and the entire house staff greeting us and helping us settle in to the beautiful villa. Our entire family was together to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and the Lime Acre Family treated us royally. Rocky presented each meal with creative and artistic table decorations and service making every meal special. We also celebrated three birthdays during our stay and the staff was so generous with singing, cards, cakes and congratulations. We told Winston at the outset that we wanted to eat authentic Jamaican food, and visit the market with him. Every meal he prepared was delicious and we surmised that few Jamaican tourist experience such cuisine. Our grandson Cooper has several food allergies and Winston was extremely mindful of reading labels and preparing his food. I didn't learn until the end of our visit that Cooper knew his way around the kitchen like the back of his hand. Spraga (Skimmer) is a gem and takes such pride in keeping the grounds and pool immaculate. Words can hardly express our respect and admiration for the professionalism of Rocky. He was truly our host 24/7 anticipating every need of this multigenerational gathering, like walking one year old Millie around the garden and helping Grandpa up the stairs when needed. The other staff, Simone Cynthia, Rose, Keisha and Roy do their part to assure that Lime Acre is the ultimate in cleanliness, comfort, relaxation, and quietness. The water sports and recreation were enjoyed by all. How could anyone leave Lime Acre and not want to go back? Mary
Hello Alan and Reg. Sorry I did not get to you before but I was recuperating, what a vacation. It was every thing you said and more. The house was exceptionally beautiful, everything was immaculate and was kept that way through out our stay; the picturess on the Internet does not do the place any justice.
The staff, what gems, they took care of our every need. As visiting Jamaicans, they made all our island favorites and Winston, our cook, made us side dishes that he thought we might want to try. One of the other wonderful feature of this property is that you never had to leave it, you have the beach right there, the pool, the cooler is always filled with our assorted beverage. To me this experience was like staying in a five star hotel where you have access to five bedrooms and eight people on staff that attends to just your needs. it was wonderful.
My daughter wanted to go back for Christmas but I told her it's too much too soon, plus I understand someone has it Christmas through New Years. But we defiantly plan to stay their again, it was worth every penny.
Thank you for a great recommendation. Gloria & John.
I would like you to know that our vacation at Lime Acres was so much more than a vacation. We had it all, we had the best food, the best care, and the most wonderful accomodations. I can seriously say it was PERFECT!
Our driver Eugene (Geno) Hudson was not only kind and extremely knowledgeable, he was witty and had a come back for anything we threw his way. He was our protector and never let any of us out of his sight. He took pictures on our excursion to YS Falls, so we could all enjoy ourselves. He deserves so much more than a pat on the back. Please make sure that his company knows what an important asset he is to them.
Also, we (8- 50 year old women) were amazed by the absolutely wonderful way we were treated at Lime Acres. Everything was emmaculate. We had flowers placed on our beds every night, and the staff was always there when they were needed. I would like to know how to send something to the executives at Sandals to make sure each of the staff gets the individual recognition that they deserve. So please send me an email address, if you have one, that I can use to send my compliments (they advised I should be sending it to a Mrs. Miller).
Winston McFarlane (the chef) was awesome. We had the BEST food ever (and the experience going to the market was something I will treasure forever). We ate Jamaican food all week and loved it all.
Patrick Lindsay (the butler) was a truly a gentleman and anticipated our every need. He worked non-stop to make sure that we were cared for, and ran the house like a well oiled machine. He was wonderful.
The maid staff (Rose, Cynthia, Laura and Shellion) were all wonderful and the house was unbelievably clean and cared for.
And Spraga (the gardner) whom we all loved worked continously to care for the grounds.....and it was beautiful beyond words.
I can't say enough about these individuals. When we left, we felt like we were leaving old friends. They will stay in our hearts forever.
Thank you so much for allowing us to share the best kept secret in Jamaica. I would definitely book another trip through your company. Thank you again for an experience of a lifetime. Give thanks and praise. Shelley
PS: We received massages from a girl from Sandals named Danisha and she definitely had "healing hands," we all thought she was very special.
