Alan and Reg, Reg, you said it right. I will never, ever, ever go back to Jamaica unless I stay at a villa. Now, I know it has to be Makana Villa. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kayla, Kevin, Devon, Roydel, Aneta, Marlene, and Henry were the most gracious of staff. I cannot say enough about their unobtrusiveness, kindness, and readiness to accommodate and predict most times our every need. Kayla was absolutely wonderful!! She was extremely attentive to everyone's needs especially the food allergies of 3 people in the group and a vegan. One of my girlfriends and I even went to the market with Kayla one day to shop for fresh produce. Anything she cooked was delicious and was beautifully presented by the men. My 50th birthday dinner celebration at the gazebo with us in white casual elegance was the best birthday gift that I have ever had. The workmanship of the entire house, the beautiful furniture, the bed linen, the landscaping, the beach and pool areas, the shaded porch and verandahs - a dream. Everyone in my group which included my sister and my friends of at least 10-30 years were all in love with Makana and the staff. Latoya was extremely helpful in the logistical details at the end. Dwight was wonderful. I must tell you that we were all disappointed that he was not our driver the entire time, but Bailey picked up where Dwight left off by taking my sister and girlfriend into Ocho Rios to do some shopping and getting us back to the MBJ airport. And I do remember a woman coming to the villa to check with me right at the very beginning. I think her name was Heather and was told she was the on-site manager for Makana. She was very nice ensuring that everything was in order. So, Alan and Reg, our experience at Makana Villa far exceeded any expectations we had. I thought I would try another villa under your management, but the wonderful staff made the experience for us. I'm not sure you can duplicate the same experience with different people. Thank you. Just know that I probably won't be telling anyone about Makana, so I have a better chance a getting a week-long stay there next time. Dear Alan and Reg, Maybe it’s a “you get what you pay for thing”, but this was the best villa and staff we have ever had. The staff were exceptional in every way, and very professional. As the week progressed we got to know them better and better, but they never let it become inappropriate. They had fun with us, but continued to take care of our every need. We had a tennis tournament between the 12 of us, and the Makana staff challenged our winners…it was really a lot of fun. I would return here in a heartbeat, and will consider it for next year.
