Hey guys, I have to say that this was the first time we stayed in Mo Bay and we had a terrific time! The villa and the staff were above my expectations. This was a first trip to Jamaica for the rest of my family and they were blown away. (my sister cried a little it was so beautiful) So I recommend this villa to anyone looking for a special vacation to Mo Bay.This villa is a deal for what you pay/receive. Hi Reg, Sadly we are home today. For anyone else, Southern California would be a great place to be but we miss Nutmeg Villa and its staff already. We had a great time and the staff were extraordinary. They were much more than we ever expected. The added security of the staff on site 24 hours a day gave peace of mind to our husbands and loved ones at home. As five girls traveling together in a foreign country we never felt unsafe due to the constant care and attention of Carlington, our butler. His ability to meet our every need and anticipate the things we might need was amazing. He was a terrific escort in the local community and arranging day trips for us with our driver, Clifton. The food prepared daily by Peta-Gaye was delicious and always prepared perfectly. We are definitely planning a return visit in 2010, but next time it will be for a few days longer! Dear Alan and Reg, Amazing! Beautiful house! Beautiful view! One of the most memorable vacations ever! ...and the staff....soooooo wonderful! Kevin is most proper and courteous, we really tried to make him “relax with us!?” Georgia wakes up with a smile everyday and spreads her “joy” to all the guest. We had wonderful dinners & desserts - do try the authentic island soups! Our gardeners climbed the mango tree for us - so we could practice a few catches! The staff prepared rum punch for us daily and kept our Red Stripe on ice. We were told that we consumed the most Red Stripe they have seen thus far? Something we are proud of! It was so nice to come home with clean laundry - so thanks to our laundress. The tours were wonderful. Mayfield Falls was a wonderful drive into the back country. It rained on us during the hike in the falls...we were in a rain forest...so fitting. Plus, we are from Arizona...and only see about 12 to 20 days of rain all year! We hung out at Rick’s Cafe in Negril for a day - a few tried the cliff jump....(don’t do it - a bruised tailbone for one!) We drove to Bob Marley’s birthplace/Mausoleum - wonderful tour, great learning experience. We also did the Glowing Lights tour - amazing. I do think the best part of the trip was chatting with the staff and learning about the Jamaican life. ...driving the island and viewing.......too many folks stay at resorts and never really learn or socialize with the people of the place they visit. We had a very professional and friendly staff - and the most relaxing time ever! This was my second visit to Jamaica, and my second villas stay. The Nutmeg was an exceptional villa and I would Highly recommend staying there to anyone! Thanks so much, we will return! Tracy & Jason, Chandler, Arizona
