The estate consists of a magnificent Georgian architecture 6-bedroom main house and a 2-bedroom Guest Cottage, both furnished in impeccable style and taste. The villa was originally built in 1898 and just underwent a lavish renovation by one of the world's most brilliant hoteliers.

The world-famous Dunn's River Falls and Fern Gully offer two of Jamaica's scenic attractions, and one of the island's newest and most popular attractions, swimming with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove are all only minutes away. The spacious and elegant living areas of Rio Chico are built around an indoor rock garden: this interior garden forms a lovely backdrop for romantic candlelight dinners. French doors open out from the dining room and adjacent family room/bar to the downstairs verandah and large (20 x 38 foot) pool overlooking the sea. Enjoy your choice of two fresh-water swimming pools or the secluded, white-sand beach for sunning or swimming in the sea.

Six bedrooms are in the Main House. The two-bedroom Guest Cottage is a short walk across the lawn, overlooking the sea. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned with private en-suite bathrooms. See bedroom photos.

Rio Chico guests may spend as much or as little as they wish for food and beverage. If you want the finest food possible and do not want to bother with making decisions regarding every meal, you may pre purchase the food and beverage package for $190 per adult per day. This buys exquisite multi-course meals, snacks and an unlimited fully-stocked bar with brand-name labels. We can provide sample menus. Alternatively, you may simply visit with the chef and select more basic menus for which you will be billed directly from receipts.
