Dear Alan and Reg, WOW! We loved Scotchie. Incomparable to anything we've done prior. The Moon Guide by Oliver Hill calls Scotchie one of the 5 best villas on the island. he couldn't be more right! And while the home is spectacular itself, it is truly the staff that make this house a home for however long we are fortunate enough to be there. Cherry is a remarkable cook (chef really), Bryan made the entire trip so incredible for us, Pauline was our nurse (colds ), and we simply loved the home. The upgrades in flat screen tvs this year were wonderful and we enjoyed movies on the rainy days. Denton visited with us several times, and his new person Paul was a wonderful guide. We visited Kingston this trip, and up the Blue Mountains on one of the coffee tours. The road improvements between MoBay and Ochie are incredible, and we hear that the roads to Port Antonio will soon be very nice as well. Part of our group had stayed at Scotchie before, but the majority of us had not. A few notes that would be helpful in other villas (that Scotchie does perfect). Having the "butler" Bryan is a tremendous plus. We spent many days on the dock kayaking, hanging out, etc. and he must have walked 5 miles up and down those steps bringing our beverages, etc. The onsite staff makes a very flexible environment for dining and timing of meals. It really enhanced our experience. Menu's: Having the printed out ideas, options and combos was a wonderful to really get a feel for what the whole meal would be like. Cherry did a great job for us at ever turn.. We all gained about 5 pounds! Seat Kayaks: a HUGE plus to have them and to have such ready access to little adventures. Quality of the furnishings, bedding, artwork, etc. All simply fabulous. We definitely will be back to Scotchie. (In fact, we are meeting today to talk about when we want to plan our next trip there!) Dear Reg, Alan and Latoya, I am writing to express complete gratitude for our stay at Scotch on the Rocks. My group is very used to traveling, especially throughout the Caribbean, in search of rest, relaxation and entertainment alike. Our trip rituals usually consist of dropping off our luggage in the hotel room, and then hitting the town. For the first time ever, we did not want to leave our place of stay – Scotch on the Rocks felt like home! "Scotchie" had everything: pristine views, luxurious décor and modern amenities. In the mornings we were serenaded by the sea; in the afternoons, we swayed in the hammock; and in the evenings we indulged in front of flat-screen TVs. And how could I forget being pampered with the best home-cooked food we’ve ever tasted! Our deepest thanks go out to Brian, Cherry, Elvis and Pauline for accommodating us with exceptional service. They treated us like family and made our friends feel equally welcome. And last but not least, our thanks to Rudy who always welcomed us with the warmest smile, and safely drove us to our destination. Thank you so much for providing a memorable vacation for us all. Hi Alan and Reg, I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed Scotch on the Rocks. The house was very comfortable, clean and in a wonderful setting. The house was big enough for all of us to spread out. The fact that it was not right on the sandy ocean made no difference. In fact, we liked the setting much better. The dock was a perfect place for the kids to get sun and use the kayaks. We think adding a jet ski to the property would be a great idea, even if the renters had the option of paying extra for the use during their stay. You were right about the food. Cherry was an excellent cook. We were in a dead sprint to see who could get to the table first. There could not be a restaurant anywhere that would match her flavors. Bryan was a great asset with his soft spoken ways. He took good care of us. He kept the outside areas very tidy and made delicious drinks. We usually started drinking before lunch so we got to enjoy many of his specialties. Denton, our driver, stayed with us for the week and was always at our service with a BIG smile. Elvis went to the grocery store with me several times and we became fast friends. He was very efficient in the kitchen helping Cherry. Pauline kept the house in immaculate condition and was there all during the day to help with household matters. I think all of us would agree that this was one our favorite vacations ever. We hope to return to Scotch on the Rocks one day. Hopefully you offer a discount to returning customers! Thanks for everything, Catherine

Hi Reg and Alan I must say that our trip to Scotch on the Rocks was full of surprises! All good! The house itself was fabulous. the bedding and the furnishings were top of the line. It was if we were at a five star hotel! We had an opportunity to see some of the other houses while in Jamaica and I must say non were as luxurious as Scotchie--the pictures on the net do not do it justice. The staff really made the trip memorable. Brian was such a joy to be around, always with a positive attitude. Elvis and Pauline and Cheri really keep that house running like clock work. The food was great! although when we go back again I want to find out how to get more fresh seafood--lobster and conch seemed quite elusive. also, the cook has a long list of menus there at the house, if we could have gotten a hold on those earlier we could have our entire weeks worth of planning done We are definitely planning another trip to Jamaica and hopefully stay at scotch on the Rocks. Alan,  The time we spent at Scotchie was the best we have ever spent anywhere. I have never had a "staff" but Cherry, Elvis, Pauline and Bryan were superb in their duties and wonderful people. We have never had food like that. We canceled two meals out just to eat there. Michael, whom others had used before, was always there when we needed him. However, we seldom left the villa except for a Red Stripe and a rum run!!  The wedding, as Judie said, was fairy tale and Father Tony and Pat were a total and complete surprise; so much fun and interesting.  Thanks again for a most memorable week!!!  Judie and John

Hi Reg, We had the absolute best vacation. The house was prefect and Cheri, Elvis, Brian and Claudine felt like they were apart of our group. The service they provided was outstanding. I am in the hotel business and I wish I had people like them working for our company. We will be back for sure! Eric

Reg, We had a great time, and the house was wonderful. We really liked the dock, it made it perfect for the kids to swim and snorkel. I would highly recommend Scotch for families. I also wanted to comment on the staff. They we exceptional people, Cherry is a top rate cook that was very accommodating for the kids, and also sneaking sides in for the adults. Brian was an incredible man, very down to earth, easy to get to know and great with the kids. He is a true asset to the house, if I could I would snatch him up as an employee for one of my businesses. All in all everyone had a great time, we can't wait to come back. Charles

Hi Reg and Alan,  We had a wonderful visit at Scotch on the Rocks and have recommended a villa vacation to all our friends.  The staff were wonderful and the food was absolutely fabulous. We really enjoyed our driver, Dwight - he had great recommendations for sights to see in Jamaica and was entertaining at all times. He also gladly researched any questions that he couldn't answer and was a cheerful tour guide our entire visit - we definitely saw more of Jamaica because of him. Hi Reg and Alan:  I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time at Scotch on the Rocks villa. The house was lovely and the service was excellent. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.  We spent a great deal of time relaxing by the pool and swimming off the pier. We had 4 children with us and they all had a ball in the pool and in the wonderful kids' suite.  I can't tell you what a great idea that room is. The staff was excellent. The cook prepared some wonderful meals which far surpassed anything I've had at the local resorts.  Elvis took great care of us as well and they were all great with the kids.  Walter, our driver, was really great about taking us every where we wanted to go and also making suggestions of things that may be of interest to us. As far as I'm concerned. there is not better way to travel when you have a party of our size.  The house was spacious and afforded us the opportunity to get together with family who were also in town during that week. There were also plenty of private spaces to retreat for some quiet time. Scotchie is a wonderful place to stay; I would enthusiastically recommend to anyone visiting the area.  We are already planning a villa vacation for next year.  Thanks again for putting together a terrific trip for us!  Valerie

Dear Alan and Reg, The villa Scotch on the Rocks was excellent just as you said it would be. The staff was great and very friendly. We have traveled a lot with the kids but have not had staff in our villas before. It worked out well and the kids, who were the most concerned initially, loved all the attention the staff gave them. They have a nice mix of staff working there and they seem to mesh well together. It was quite clear that the owners put a lot of effort in fixing up the place and that they were very interested in providing a high quality situation. The Royal Plantation membership was a key part for us also. That helped to make it for my teenage daughter especially. The place was wonderful and we would definitely consider going back. You guys have been excellent and Dianne and I were saying that out of all the many villa agents we have used or had any dealings with you guys have been by far the most helpful and attentive to every detail. Dear Alan and Reg: I know that Michael already emailed you to say that we all had a lovely time at Scotchie, but I just wanted to add a few things. First and foremost, I wanted to tell you just how pleased we were with all that you did to direct and advise us as we planned our trip. You were absolutely correct in your advice and recommendations, and you were always patient and prompt in answering our questions and concerns. The villa was beautiful, and exceeded our expectations...from the magnificent views, to the first class amenities (the towels and sheets were lovely), we couldn't have asked for more. The staff was kind and always accommodating. We never felt that they were intrusive. Cherry and Sonia did an excellent job of preparing wonderful meals, and were always concerned with keeping the costs down (I should take a lesson from them!) Pauline had our rooms tidied up daily, and our 'turndown service' complete with air conditioned rooms and bedside ice water was a welcome end to relaxing days. She also did a beautiful job with our laundry. Elvis was always willing to do whatever was needed, including grocery trips, and arranging with the fisherman for our mahi mahi. Bryan was just great about getting us our poolside beverages and explaining to us island 'customs'. The staff also spoke very highly about the owners which was nice as they obviously respect them a great deal. Now home and back to life’s more mundane tasks but more relaxed and rejuvenated after 10 days at Scotchie. We have already recommended SunVillas and Scotchie to others, and we are grateful for all that you did to make our vacation memorable. And yes, the Royal Plantation membership was perfect for those in our family that needed to get their exercise in each day (not me!)
