Located in Discovery Bay and built in 2000, Amanoka Villa (Aman-oka or "peaceful home" in Indonesian) is living proof that imagination when it is executed to perfection can produce magical results. All materials are of the finest quality and many of the authentic design elements were imported from Bali, especially much of the wood and woven cane used for some of the ceilings. Amanoka has been a favorite of celebrities and discerning vacationers, and promises a luxurious and relaxing Jamaican villa vacation. This is truly a world-class villa of remarkable beauty. The inner garden gate of Amanoka transports one into an unexpected world. The intimate, yet formal garden with fish pond leads the way to the main house. Crossing the garden bridge one enters a large entry hall, decorated with live orchids, that opens to a Balinese pavilion and infinity pool overlooking the blue waters of Discovery Bay.  

The main house interior has a formal living room, dining room, family room with large screen TV, 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, powder room, swimming pool with spa and kitchen. The villa has a satellite TV system, surround sound Bose music system that filters soothing sounds throughout the house and grounds, a DVD player with a selection of movies, and a computer with internet access, Amanoka offers every modern amenity.

A separate Annex a few steps from the main house, contains 4 bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms and a convenience area for making coffee and other beverages. The upstairs bedrooms have balconies while the downstairs bedroom opens on to a covered porch. All annex bedrooms have spectacular views of the bay and mountains.

Two beautiful pavilions house a brand new gym and spa facility. Both pavilions are within a lushly landscaped walled garden and seem to float on a huge pond with waterfalls and lilies. They are very open with large glass doors on 3 sides. Fans and air conditioners are provided for our guests' comfort. The gym is 16' x 16' and will have a Precor elliptical machine, treadmill, free weights and inclined bench, music, TV, exercise DVD's and mats and balls. A yoga instructor can be provided at an extra cost if booked in advance. The spa pavilion is also 16x16. Outside is a covered trellis for wet treatments and a large open air rain shower. Treatments will be provided by Linda Hall of Caribbean Essentials. Linda is a very highly trained therapist from the UK She produces her very own scrubs, wraps and massage oils from fresh Jamaican herbs, flowers and spices.

A short walk outdoors through the beautifully landscaped gardens leads to a private sandy beach with a gazebo located on a rocky extension beyond the beach.  Guests have the use of a 3 sea kayaks and a Sunfish sailboat. Just across the lane is Amanoka's own Novacrylic surface tennis court, lit for night play. Racquets are provided. Amanoka is a virtual resort within itself.

Each day begins with fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh-ground Blue Mountain coffee, fruit, bagels and muffins on the verandah buffet, followed by full breakfast when all guests are ready. Extraordinary lunches and memorable candlelight dinners are served on the al fresco verandah or waterfront deck. Cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres are offered each evening around the verandah bar. The chef will also plan a torchlight beach party with chicken, chops, steaks, fresh fish or lobster served sizzling from the outdoor coal grill. Because cuisine at Amanoka is extraordinary, the typical grocery budget here is $50 per adult per day, $25 per child per day. The professional outdoor barbecue and food service facility allow guests to enjoy outdoor prepared meals as well as those from the fully equipped kitchen. The state-of-the-art kitchen has a 6-burner gas stove, Jenn-Air double oven, microwave, dishwasher, bottled water server and gas grill.

Main House (6,400 square feet)
-Master Suite, a spacious 20 x 18 feet, contains a king sized bed, bathroom with double vanity, Jacuzzi, separate shower stall and bidet, opens to the infinity pool and bay and beach views, with coastal mountains in the background.
-Bedroom #2 (18 x 16 ft) has 2 queen beds, full bath with bidet with beautiful views into the gardens.
-Bedroom #3 (18 x 18 ft) has a king bed, full bath with bidet with beautiful views into the main gardens.

Annex (3,200 square feet)
-Annex Bedroom 4 Downstairs (18 x 14) has two oversized twin beds (or King), full bath with bidet and opens on to a covered veranda with hammock and views of the gardens and bay.
-Annex Bedroom 5 Downstairs (18 x 14) has a queen sized bed, full bath with bidet and opens on to a covered veranda with hammock and views of the gardens and bay.
-Annex Bedroom 6 Upstairs (18 x 14) has a king bed with hardwood floors, full bath with tub/shower combination and bidet, opens on to a balcony with views of the gardens and bay.
-Annex Bedroom 7 Upstairs (18 x 14) has a king bed with hardwood floors, full bath with tub/shower combination and bidet, opens on to a balcony with views of the gardens and bay.

In all 7 bedrooms are telephones with intercoms to the Great Room, bar, kitchen, staff quarters and other guest rooms.

The villa has a full staff with 2 chefs, butler, housekeepers, laundress and gardeners
