Sorry for the late reply - a few days after getting back in the cold her in NYC, we all got a bit sick. Perhaps it was the transition from the lovely temperatures of Jamaica to the cold weather here, or perhaps we were already longing to get back.... Because our stay at Selah was pretty well near perfect!

I wrote a lot of lines in the guest book about how we experienced our stay, so I hope Ryan, Patrick and Mazie know how much we appreciated their care. We also left more than the suggested tip to show our appreciation, so I am pretty sure they should know :-)
At any rate, the only thing that was not perfect about our stay was the weather during the first four days or so, which was of course out of their control. To their credit, they did everything to make our stay pleasant even during those "cold" days - serving perfect food and serving ample drinks - so that compensated something!
We had a bit of experience with Jamaica from Round Hill and also staying at Bluefields, but this was the most pleasant stay by far. Ryan is a great cook, and I am so glad we invited some friends to come tay with us for a week, because I actually believe he enjoyed cooking for a larger group even more! I don't think we ever had the same dinner in 2 weeks, which I find admirable.  He determined the menu all by himself, which was in accordance to our wishes, and it was all amazingly tasty food.  When our friends returned home after a week, they emailed us they had gained 8 lbs.... He also made sure that there was a lot of variation in the fresh fruits he served, so that our two toddlers could get their vitamins - and mommy and daddy too. Also, he can make great pina coladas :-)

Patrick was the perfect butler - he kept our glasses full and was always a perfect gentleman in serving the food and taking care of the special plating etc for the little ones. Also always helpful in looking out for the girls whenever they strayed from sight for a moment and very gentle with them. Both he and Ryan, I should say, were like the 2nd and 3rd nanny for Mara and Brynn, because they really sought interaction with them and looked out for them. Jamaica is a great place for a family to vacation, they just love little kids!! Mazie was great as well, never too much trouble to change a few more bedsheets because my daughter Mara woke up in a wet bed after her afternoon nap, and if a button needed changing she found it and sewed it on without asking. A very sweet person and very helpful. All three of the house personnel we found to be very kind but also very proactive in their behavior. 

I also especially want to mention the nanny, Nateesha, whom we have appreciated very, very much! I know that it is not always easy to deal with two little kids, and then a bothersome mother to boot! But she was very gentle with them, and I could sense they took to her very soon after our arrival. After a few days, when they had gotten to know the house and garden, they really sought her out to go and explore the grounds.
She was always at hand if needed and she did a great job with them, giving my husband and me some much needed quiet time too which was exactly what we were looking for.

That's it, I believe.... I hope you can forward my comments to the staff at Selah and let them know they are the main reason we had such a lovely vacation! Well, them and perhaps the sun coming out and staying out ... :-)

Our stay in Jamaica, and specifically at Selah was absolutely perfect. Patrick, Ryan and Mazie could not have been kinder, more professional or helpful to my wife and family during our stay. The house, food, beach location and amenities were perfect for us. Latoya was also the consummate professional and very enjoyable to deal with, even stopped in to say hi. Regards
